Easel Step Card

Hi Friends,

Its already Friday! wowie.... i remember waiting for it all week long when i was still working full time. And now am happy crafting and doing what i love. so after doing lots of scrapbooks i came back to some card making!

I had seen these kind of cards somewhere during one of my browsing fun time and i thought why not give it a shot. I didnt remember the exact measurements so i came up with mine! I think it was not a rocket science plus lots of fun. Once i got the template it was just about adding lovely pattern papers!

I had several extra and left overs from my DCWV Birthday Paper Stack 12 by 12 and i just love the gorgeous papers with brilliant glaze and texture that can make any card pop! It already has so many elements that its hard not to try it. And i ended up not making one but 2 cards together.

I added a banner from a left over Echo Park Paper with some Tim Holtz Paper String in Orange!
I paper pieced a tiny cup cape from the extra PP and used a Pop up DCWV dimensional sticker

Now here i have made the cute stripes on the left top using my Terrifically Tacky Tape on a left over PP and some fine glitters from Martha Stewart i have had for ages! I strongly believe that you must use a excellent adhesive for all your cards to ensure durability. I love my Tombow glue to bits for the same reason

I hope you like these pretties! And if you need a help on how to make these just give me a shout!

Tissue Box

Hello Everyone,

I am here with my latest work. I have been hoarding this MDF tissue box forever and finally decided to get it ready. I had promised myself to create more home decor items and this was one of them.

So here we go. firstly i prepared the base with a red acrylic pain. Sorry no pics on that but its quite simple! then i went ahead and used Mod Podge to adhere the pattern paper. I knew i wanted a elegant and mature looking box so i straight away went for my DCWV Gilded Orchard Paper Stack.I Love the papers from this collection and i had also used them for the Door Hangers made previously. One of the reason i enjoy hoarding the 12 by 12 Papers is that you can use them alot better for bigger project, scrapbooks and especially decoupage. The latest collections of DCWV come with flocked and glitter paper too leaving you with multiple opportunities to go with fewer embellishments. Oh and i did use some Red fabric Tape as well!

Yes i did paint it inside too, talk about being excited!

I used only 1 and half pages from my stack! How awesome is that?  Since i didn't have matching Embellishments i decided to do some paper piecing from the other pages and then added some flowers. I used my favourite Stickles in christmas red and gold to add the glam.

And here is my final tissue box with the tissues adorning my center table :) Now i need to have some friend over for a snack :)

Thanks for stopping by!
