Thanks to our dear Asha for coming up with this great idea!
I was the secret sweetheart for one of my favorite ladies Jaya. And see what i got? i absolutely loved each and every bit of it! I was actually dancing when i received it coz there was so much variety and i am all excited to add these to my upcoming creations! There were stickers, ribbons, colourful paper clips, buttons, felt animals and candy too, some variety of flowers in paper and chipboard and a very special gorgeous card from her!
Thank you Jaya!!

Here is the second post for the day. I made these quilled rings for the same office friend and added coordinated colours and patterned paper as well. Since my friend is fair i wanted to make something bright and peppy so i stuck to an abstract design rather some flowers. I used my ultimate crafters companion pro to create a matching box to ensure these are not damaged and they look great as a gift box. The flower is again hand made as mentioned in one of my previous posts :)
I would be making more quilled earrings now and taking orders for customized ones too. So feel free to contact me for orders :)
This weekend ended on sad note as i lost one of my Guinea pigs :(. Unfortunately it was rainig and maybe she slipped from the balcony while exploring along the new sun shades we installed for the French windows in the balcony of our new home. It broke my heart to see her limp body. I am trying to recover from this sad incident ever since. But life goes on and i am trying to find a new companion for my male guinea pig to keep him distracted. I am sure he will survive well. :)
I have been busy making some new cards and no time for posting. WE are finally feeling settled in the new home and its turning out to luk like a home now! :)
So here's a card i made for a office colleague who is rather a very good friend too. I have made the paper flowers inspired from Laura's paper flower Tutorial. IT was simple and i loved the outcome as well. I chose pink and yellow as the theme here and added some stamping inside as well. The card is entering for the following challenges:
I couldn't post it yest even though i tried so hard. DH and i had a nice romantic dinner last evening and twas late by the time we reached home.I am sure am not so late :) So i made him a very special Valentines day card and the fun part was i locked myself in a room on 13th Feb evening to finish it! LOL! He is one curious cat! I managed to complete it on dot 12 am and gift it that very moment! Phew!
DH loved the never ending card I had made for mom so i knew what he wanted. I am quite bored using red for love cards so i gave it all a new meaning with bright yellow, orange and blue Patterned paper from Pebbles Inc. I added some of our pics before marriage as well to give it a scrapbook luk! And DH loved it!! He kept folding it back and forth smiling and i was so so excited to see him play around with the card like a kid! ha ha....Before i blabber more here is the card!!
I had made this card over the weekend and have been waiting to share it with all of you! Its my dearest dearest Mom's birthday today!! i wanted to reach the card on time and was happy i managed it. I did have to sit up till 2 am on a Saturday and i absolutely loved trying out a Never ending Card to let my mom know about my never ending love for her! He he.... how movie like is that now.
This was one card that i really had to work on. Right from the measurements to the detailing it was real fun. And to make it exciting i even made a coordinating envelop!
Well i have learnt this card from this tutorial. Have fun and i hope you do try one too :)
I have finally got back to my scrap land and trying even more :) Here's a quick and simple card i wanted to share. Off late i have been very inspired by the various card techniques i see online so i tried a swing card. Basically the central circular heart image is tied via threads and upon opening the card it swings :) sorry no motion pics here.
