More Flutter and Glitter!

Hey there,

With next 3 days off at work am super excited n off to my parents home today at Hyderabad (jumping). Hnce would be MIA for the week :D

After my last post on the bright cards i continues to experiment with happy colours. Unlike me i made a set of 3 cards with similar basic design but different sentiments!

This was quite easy after one blunder of course and super fun too :) I highlighted one butterfly with MS Glitters which looks better than the pic :) Am enjoying playing with vellum since i got the vellum tape runner (available for sale with me :) ) I have glued the extra length inside the card here.

Supplies: Elle Err Fabriano, Fiskars stamps, Rhinestones by Kaisercraft

 Martha Stewart iridescent glitters

And as we talk bout flutter i got  a lovely butterfly award from my darling Khushboo.

Though i have written several posts bout myself she still wants me to do this again!! Brrrr.....

There are some rules to follow so here they are:
Answer several questions. Award the 'Butterfly Award' to other bloggers
Contact the bloggers to let them know they have received this award
Put a link to the person who gave you the 'Butterfly Award' in the post..

I'll answer the questions first and then inform everyone who I am passing the award to..!!

Q1) Name your favorite color? Hard to pick but love shades of blue and mauve/purple

Q2) Name your favorite song? Tere Bin Meinu Sone yarr by Rabi Shergill. If you havnt heard this beautiful song click HERE

Q3) Name your favorite dessert? I love all variety of it!! Yum. Of course chocolate tops it followed by Blueberry Cheese cake and most flavours of ice creams. I have a extra pocket in my tummy for desserts even am full to my throat otherwise :P

Q4) What worries you off at the moment? Nothing seriously! But i have my first GD post for Crafty JC Challenge for Septermber and i dont see having any time for it (since am off for next 5 days) and hence coming out with some rubbish under pressure :(

Q6) Black or White? BLACK

Q7) Your biggest fear? Losing someone dear to me.

Q8) Best feature? Sorry cant pick one :P LOL!! frds have varied versions but i guess its my chirpiness that makes me lovable (As told by frds n family)... i still cant pick one :P

Q9) Everyday attitude? GET THROUGH! Well with a schedule like mine i need 30 hours to do what i want. So its always to get thru the day trying to finish most of it!

Q10) What is perfection? Nothing is.... but again its how we see a glass half full or half empty :) love see the brighter side of things and it make me and other happy its gotta be perfect :D

Q11) Guilty pleasure? I love collecting perfume and Stilletos! I have lost my count and have no space but still love to add to my collection :)

Q12) When you're upset you? Go into silo mode. I usually wont talk much and sulk alone and then go and hug Sid real tight coz i know that makes everything just fine :)!!!

Birthday with flutter and Glitter

Hola Crafters,

I had an awesome vacation and if you are with me on Facebook you can get a glimpse of my holidays! :)

Am back with some cards... yep made 3 in 1 day!!

Here's my first card and i took and evening to get this doen and ask me why? I saw the gorgeous PDCC 96 challenge colours and that's what got me going! but my Mojo was missing and i went to check the superb Mojo Monday Challenge sketch!! And it took me almost an hour to decide which PP to use!! Then i opened my lately cquire DCWV Mango Frost 8 by 8 stack. The PP are to die for! I wanted to make a birthday card for the Spoonful of Sugar Challenge. Since i added a flutter it goes to yet another fav challenge - Flutter by wenesday and those Pretty Pie lane Glitters cant be missed! And that get me an entry into the Charisma Cards challenge!

I also wanted to enter this for ICR challenge celebrations but i guess i used some stamping. Though is just a sentiment am not sure if it allowed to have aBg even in watermark. :( I kinda forgot about this one rule.

No worries  :) So here is my card. I kinda like the way it turned out :) did you notice i distress the paper edge of the blue PP :)  What say?

Supplies: DCWV Mango Frost 8 by 8 paper sack, Fiskars Wish Quote stamps,
Glitter Balls - Pie Lane, Rhine stones by KaisercraftRibbon,
Pearls n Ribbon from stash

Close up at the flutter :)

Added the pearls for the balance :)

Miss James Bond!

Hey there!!

Tomo is Khushboo's birthday!! She is a friend i made in a jiffy! Literally! Sometimes u just click and keep clicking all the way!

I dont have many friends but the few i do... i treasure them! Being emotional fool (as  everyone tells me i am)  i cant be a jolly happy go lucky with every tom dick n harry! I don't know if you call that being choosy but yes i am!!  :D I think my past experiences have taught me a bit about reading people :)

Thanks Khush... u are my fav mad woman who helps me de-stress on daily basis! :D and yes.... keep my mojo running!! And when i think of u i can just imagine a 007 fearless lady who can punch u right in the face if required!! But a true sweetheart for her friends and very very caring! Hence this card is dedicated to you my friend!! :) you are my "Miss James Bond"

Have a great day and blessed year ahead!

This card is fairly simple and clean if i may say so. I used my Echo Park Dots and Strips to create the window. Used some distress inks for the BG and yes thats vellum you see. My new experiments are now on vellum and this time i used my glue pad and some MS iridescent glitters :) I really this CTMH stamp set!

Supplies: Echo Park -Dots and Stripes, CTMH stamps, Distress inks,
MS Glitters, Butterfly - Pie Lane, Ribbon from stash

For my dear Bro!

Yep its that time of the year when we shower all our love to dear brothers!!

It's the most awaited 'Rakhi'. I wanted to try something new :) Yes if you know me well you know how much i love "NEW" stuff :D So i didnt make a traditional card like the one i gave him last year. You can see it HERE.

Finally with a heavy heart i tore out my precious Echo Park papers - For the Record! They are just to pretty :) I used some faux stitching to make it look complete :)

This card is based on the ICR sketch and challenge 8 and also goes for the challenge at Cupcake Craft Challenge, Stampin Sisters challenge (Used the Stickers lying with me forever!) and Marks Finest Papers

I love my hubby for making all my cards luk so pretty :) He takes such awesome pics for me!

Supplies: Echo Park -For the Record, Me and My Big Ideas - stickers, Distress inks,
Rhinestones - Kaisercraft, Butterfly - Pie Lane

Before i say adieu here's what i have been upto :) Yes yes.... i tried my hands the newly (did i say New? ) popular Royal flower among quillers :) Please be gentle its my first shot! :)

Also tried this one with the comb.

Cheers

Experiment with Chalks!

Hope you had a great weekend!!

I was home for most of it and tried to relax but i guess house chores never end :|

Leaving that aside i tried my new Pebbles Chalk Set - Pearescent Jewel Tones  which are also available my  Craftstore via Pre Orders.

Chalks are a great medium for highlighting on card and projects. But i created a CAS card just with chalks :) For the sentiments i used some vellum as the base and the E-Z Runner Permanent Fine Adhesive is an excellent buy if you work a lot with Vellum! Can u see the adhesive lines? :P

The card is on its way to a friend :) Sorry for the poor quality pic... its from my point ans shoot. Couldn't wait to shoot.

Supplies:Hero Arts, CTMH and stampendous Stamps, Vellum, Pebbles Chalk Set

Pie Lane Butterfly stickers,Ribbon from stash

And yes let me make you a bit jealous!! Am the lucky recipient of Khushboo's Circle Flipped book!! Khush!! Thanks hon! its super gorgeous and loved all the messages as well ;) You can use the link to jump over and see all the pics if you wish :) Here is a sneak peak!

Cheers!

Masking Technique

Hey there!

So hows the weekend going? Well i always look forward for mine for sure!! Here's a quick post on my latest experiments using some masking technique :). I have been meaning to try this for so long. I think they look just ok. In the second card i have used vellum for the first time!! I stamped and embossed it and added some bling all around!
Please share your feedback.

Will be back with more updates again sometime!

Cheers
