Fluttering Friends!

Hey there!

Am with another card for a good friend.... ;)

I recently used my new DCWV Mat stack for my Dad's 60t birthday which i shall post on his baday only on 31st July :)

And i had few scraps of this gorgeous paper i couldn't let go. So i got my MS classic Butterfly punch out and pounced as many flutters as the poor paper allowed :) Talk bout being frugal :D

I added a fresh piece from the mat stack and i love how it allows us to make a quick n pretty BG. Added a stamped sentiment a pretty Pie Lane Button. Voila a pretty new creation was made! What say?

This is for a very close friend... rather she is like a sister! She aint on Blog land though.... :)

Am entering this card for following Challenges:

Recycle :)

You know what i love about us Crafters? We cannot throw even a inch of paper away or even those left over pieces of card stock and experimental first time attempts :)

This card is all that and more! The black card stock was an extra. I stamped it with white Versamark pigment ink using CTMH stamp set. The sentiment is from the same set.

This was my first Rossette attemps from again a scrapof white card stock. And the lovely Pie Lane Button adds a nice touch! A simple happy card :)

I think am on a roll today! This is my 3rd post for the day :)

Cheers!

Are u Dis-stressed?

Have u been stressed with your distress inks offlate? Lol!

Yes at least i did when i got my set. I didnt wanna buy an inking tool for each ink as i just don't have the space so decided to use one tool with different blending foams. Question was how to maintain so many colours and rem them when i need them!!

So i was a bit frugal but it helped to keep things in place and made my life easy :) so this is what i did!

Each foam tape was cut into four small pieces, enough for blending :),  used my self adhesive Velcro dots and cut them in halves and stuck them on side and voila u can keep each foam intact with the colour n no mix n match!!

And here is my new new new collection box.!! thanks to a very dear friend.... i feel organised :D and did u see my pie lane collection :D

 Cheers!

Getting my Mojo back!

Hola!

Hope you all are having a a great weekend! I have been sick this entire week and still recovering from a horrible viral!

But yep a bit better and stronger enough to make a card or two :) I really like the Mojo Monday sketch...aptly it got my Mojo back and the PDCC -"just a splash" was quite interesting!

So here is what i came up with :) This is one of my first Rossette and i loved it....gonna make more! I kinda liked how it turned out.

Its for a new friend i made on blogland who is just adorable! And i guess by now she knows she's getting it too ;)

Bling it on with PDCC!

I recently acquired the gorgeous Glitter Ball set from Pie Lane!! Yes i also got the pretty holographic flutters which i plan to use soon :)

I have seen E.T using them a lot and i had similar ideas to create  some flourish using them. So i just used old style fevicol along the flourish, poured the gorgeous glitter like a powder and patiently aligned them along :) better ways of doing it are welcome. Not totally impressed but happy they look continuous as a design :)

This card is based on the PDC colours - Eggplant, Orange and Fuschia. And yep i did couple of new things here.... the background is done with my newly acquired Hero Arts and misting with Distress Inks. The flutters were sent by dear M which have been stamped with Hero arts Happy stamp and then distressed. This card is full of bling so i added some more rhinestones. It was a fun way to distract my flu filled head :( Hope i feel better soon....

Supplies: Elle Erre Fabriano, Inkadinkado Flourish Stamps, Fiskars Wish Quote sentiments stamp set,
Hero Arts BG Stamp, Glitter Balls from Pie Lane, Ribbon From Stash

I did the insides too for a change

And yes there is a good news!! For the first time my card was selected in top 3 and that too in the ICR Challenge. Here is the card that made it to the top :)
