Hey,
What a lovely weather we are having today at Delhi!! It rained a day ago and the after effects look fab!! Just makes you forget work and have some fun. :) I hope it keeps the sun away few more days, 41 degrees of heat is quite unbearable considering am not used to the Delhi heat. Ok here's a long post i have with some tips and update on the challenge running on my blog but first the card with the coordinating envelop :)
I am entering it for the following Challenges:
Paper take weekly - Anything Goes
Crafty creations challenges - Anniversary
Craft your passion challenges - Anything Goes
Kaboodle doodles - I's the B's knees (Bling, Butterfly)
Divas by design challenge - Anything Goes
So the background has been stamped with leaves from a bigger stamp you see on the envelop. You have to be careful to not let the colour spill to the rest of the stamp :) So this is a tip to use a part of a bigger stamp if you ever wish to :) I have also embossed it with some pastel dark green colour to give a smooth finish. Some distressing on the PP which have been punched with MS.I have used the hand-made flower which i had made long back along with left over punched butterflies and lotsa Bling. Doesn't it look gorgeous?
I used a Left over oval scallop die cut, distressed it with sme Memento inks and did a hand written sentiment using my new embossing Pen. Another tip is on using the Embossing Pen. Its my new fav! Its perfect tool to doodle and write your own sentiments when you don't have the right stamp or image. Not just that its also useful to cover up the missing part of stamped images when the stamping(with watermark/embossing pad) doesn't happen well in the first go. So after you finish the heating you can doodle freehand on the missing areas and re-do the embossing powder sprinkle and heat it. I did so in the Mother's day card when the flowers petals were missing in between due to less pressure in certain areas while stamping with the watermark. Hope this helps you in your next attempt at Heat embossing.
Don't forget i have a challenge for "Making a Card with only Heat Embossing" running till 20th May!
Cheers!

So here's a card i made for a very special couple my husband i know. I made this card in 2 hours which is a record for me, considering i take a lota time planning. Maybe i had an idea about the colours and the look which made it easy. I have been putting an extra effort off late to use left over PP and other die cuts lying around. Wait till you see the baby scrapbook i have been working on since last 1 month!!! Yes it took me that long :) But all the effort was totally worth it. Will upload it by this weekend if Hubby dear agrees to click nice and clear pics by then :)
