Exploding Box Card

Hola Crafters,

After a long time i have sat down to post something. Life is very busy both on work n personal front. Alot of commitments and too little time! Gosh and then i feel time has flown..... last i knew it was Diwali! :|

Diwali exhibitions were good and i had many requests for many handmade things but thanks to my busy schedule i refused all. But there was this one lady who was very insistent to make the magic exploding box for her brother and sister in laws 2nd anniversary! She had seen this card on my stall which Sid loved to show off to all :P. she wanted all elements as they were- the cake, butterfly, tags replaced by pics for the inner flaps :) Hence i agreed to make it for her after all that coaxing. And also since i haven't participated in challenges for long i decided to follow some as well :)

This card is going to participate in the below challenges :)
ICR 12 -  Dots & Stripes with a Tag!
The Ribbon Challenge - Butterflies
Pan Pastel UK Challenge - Exploding Colours
Sugar creek Hollow - Stripes and Dots
Little Claire Designs - Shaped Cards

Ok now for lotsa pic! Enjoy!

I kept the colour combo happy and colourful for a young couple!

This ribbon is from my store - My minds eye :)

Check out the explosion of love!

A close up!

Handmade butterfly with Fiskars stamps coloured with my Tombow Pens and loads of Glossy accents

Side panel 1 - Note card for personal message

Side Panel 2 - Tags!! with initials of the couple and cute Pie Lane Kohinoor flowers!

Side Panel 3 - A die cut from Kaiser craft Pina Colada Collection (Available with me) with Pie Lane Stones.

Side Panel 4 - Doodlebug Die cuts and Wellies and Bellies Rub-ons (Available with me)

And the Center 3D cake. I used Pie Lane Scallop stickers for the cream decoration!! Love it!

My Fav pic!!! I used my heat gun to ensure the butterflies stay on place!

I would be MIA again as am off to Udaipur for my best frds wedding and then off to Bangalore between 23-25Th for work!!! See u around!

This was my first try with a shaker card. Its actually very simple but i never found the right kinda glitter to add in the shaker! And then i met Pie Lanes Chunky Glitter :)

And before i show case my card i wanna let you know that Crafting Queen store now hosts whole lot of Pie Lane Products!! So do send your inquiries and order request at orders@craftingqueen.in

When you shake it...... the glitter dances all around!

The Pie Lane glitter rose!! My fav!

Kohinoor Flowers and luster stones

Hope you enjoyed this post :)  I have used some pattern papers from DCW Street Lace and All Dressed up, Martha Stewart all around the page border punch, spellbinders die, Acetate for the window and Pie lane products:

Recycling CD's

Hola,

In continuation of my last post on Recycled CD Case i also wanted to share the recycling i did with the CD's inside ;)

I made this cute album from A4 double sided design papers that i had got from Kavi ages back n never used them! So i made the inside pages with using my Fiskars circle cutter with 4.5 inch diameter as its fits perfectly :) ( yep u do figure out after few trials )

I kept the CD photo album simple with the plain side stamped with place to write something :)

I am sharing in the below challenges:

Freshly Brewed - Something New

Cheers

Crafty JC - Recycle Project

Hola Crafters,
Being a top 3 at Crafty JC has been an exhilarating feeling! I did little dance as Khushboo told me about it over a call since I check the blog on and off! Thanks Crafty JC and the DT team for picking me! However knowing that I need to make a DT project on the theme “Recycle” wasn’t really a celebrating moment for me. Coz when you know your project shall be looked with judgment and alota criticality you gotta be good! And this is my first ever DT post so I have tried my best :) Am hoping its worthy of a DT project (Please be kind : ) )

So what I did I recycle? – A CD Case. (PS- I was on vacation whole of last week and bought many old CD’s my mom was about to throw off :P. ) I took out the CD insert and painstakingly took measurements to
cover all Panels. More details with pics.

This Projecy also goes for the Following Challenges -

Freshly Brewed - Something New

365 Cards - So not me

The Base Material used – Before the project

And here is the After of the project pics

This is the cover and I used my Echo Park – For the record papers. I used a Kaisercraft Mannequin (have been dying to use this one) as base added some frill with white net we receive with flower Bouquets. Used a sequin lace for the belt and pulled some individual sequins to bling the dress. The circle die cuts as well as the
sentiment are from a Glossy finish corporate flyer lying at home, its printed on the backside.

The Left side – The PP was stamped on the green side to look like a pretty background. This Panel is a “Reminder/To Do list” with sticky notes.
The Right Side – The same double sided paper again has been stamped and a magnetic snap is stuck behind. All Calendars have the magnetic snap behind the Month name and they just snap to the green panel inside :P

This is the backside with a pocket to keep the remaining calendars. All Calendars have been cut, stamped and heat embossed. The dates are handwritten. The best thing is this pocket provides a support for the case to stand even when its closed so you have the front as a Décor on your table. Once the calendar exhausts you can still use it and snap some magnetic saying to the inside. Talk about long term plans :)
Phew! That’s a long post considering I took 2 days to complete it :)
Hope you all inspired to recycle some old useless item lying around your house if you havn't done so yet! And please do follow all the rules while linking your post as we hate to miss out on your awesome entries!
So hop over to the Crafty JC Challenge and show some love for Mother Earth!
Cheers

Not my usual style...

Yep this isn’t really my style and something very new i tried. But I have been looking at my left over wedding cards for over 9 months now and it was high time I do something with them!

It was fun cutting every bit to get the most from the pretty cardstock :) Trust there was hardly anything left after my dissection!

I kept the design minimal. One card with the Ganesh God image is for Diwali (Festival of Indian) while the other has handmade flowers without a sentiment. I just didn’t feel like adding anymore I guessJ. This is a quick post. :) Will be back with more soon!

I am also entering this card for:

Supplies: Elle Err Fabriano, Kaisercraft crystal brads, MS Classic Butterfly punch,
recycled wedding invite

Supplies: Elle Err Fabriano, Gold Permanent marker, Cuttlebug Lable 1 Die-cut,
recycled wedding invite

This is the original wedding invite:)

Cheers!

More Flutter and Glitter!

Hey there,

With next 3 days off at work am super excited n off to my parents home today at Hyderabad (jumping). Hnce would be MIA for the week :D

After my last post on the bright cards i continues to experiment with happy colours. Unlike me i made a set of 3 cards with similar basic design but different sentiments!

This was quite easy after one blunder of course and super fun too :) I highlighted one butterfly with MS Glitters which looks better than the pic :) Am enjoying playing with vellum since i got the vellum tape runner (available for sale with me :) ) I have glued the extra length inside the card here.

Supplies: Elle Err Fabriano, Fiskars stamps, Rhinestones by Kaisercraft

 Martha Stewart iridescent glitters

And as we talk bout flutter i got  a lovely butterfly award from my darling Khushboo.
